Woke up today with my favourite Yoda. I guess Yoda is the contemporaty Confucius of some kind...
And if you think about it, he is right...
LUKE Master, moving stones around is one thing. This is totally different!
YODA (irritated) No! No different! Only different in your mind. You must unlearn what you have learned.
LUKE (focusing, quietly) All right, I'll give it a try.
Sometimes we are afraid of change. We are set in our own ways. We don't want to change, we don't want to adapt.
But how should we move on if we don't? I mean life is difficult. It gives us challenges. Trying is not enough.
Opportunities come and go. I don't say we should regret what we have chosen, but this is what defines us. We live the life we live because of our choices. Crying over spilled milk will not help. Fix things? Sometimes it is possible, sometimes it isn't. It isn't because not everything depends on us. Our life is a series of choices of other people as well. It's like a chess board. I make a move and hundred other pawns make their own moves.
So you do your best. Sometimes doing your best in everything is not possible. Something will suffer. It's part of the game.
But you have to know the limits. If something is bothering you, change it.
Things WILL get better because YOU are going to make them better.
